In July 2015, we'll be holding our fourth Annual Fishing Line Clean Up.  We will be visiting several area waterways where large quantities of discarded fishing line are frequently found to collect and recycle the line.

We need volunteers to help with everything from getting line untangled from tree branches and bushes to removing hooks, bobbers, and sinkers from collected line so it can be recycled into underwater habitat structures for fish.

The clean up is not only an opportunity to get hundreds of feet of line and hooks out of the environment, immediately reducing the danger of entanglement for water birds and animals, but also to provide information about safe disposal of fishing line and tackle to the public.

If you're interested in joining us for this event or would like more information, please get in touch!
